Head coach of Ukraine team Pavel Yakovenko:

– The match was good for us. Some problems revealed in the second half. Why is that? I think because of certain fatigue. We spent three matches within four days. But have won because we were physically vigorous then opponent. We carefully prepared for this match. We always do it for every match. Yesterday we had a theoretical exercise, watched videos from our matches (thanks to the organizers), watched Latvian matches. We discuss all our mistakes, the pros and cons of an opponent. Now we need to focus on recovery and preparation for the quarterfinals. I really didn't think over our next opponent yet. I would say that is more comfortable to play with a strong contender. To play football and not fight aggressively. We always try to play correct, non-aggressive, with respect to any team.

Head coach of Latvia team Anton Joore:

– I liked the match despite the score. We resisted the very strong opponent. My sportsmen managed to have nice combinations and attacks. I am telling to my team before every match: "If you go out on the football field, must be willing to win!" No tragedy if you lose. At this age you need to practice, to sharpen your skills, and try to play beautiful football. And you know such an approach is yielding results already. Ever since I took this tam, we are constantly progressing. Today, we're playing much more better than in previous tournaments and in the qualifying round of European Championship.
